The Adoration of the Holy Eucharist, or Eucharistic Adoration, is an opportunity for the faithful to pray to Jesus Christ before the Eucharist at our parish.
Holy Cross Parish will offer Adoration from 6:00 PM on Tuesday to 5:30 PM on Wednesday during the first week of the month. To sign up for a specific hour, please contact the parish office. We always encourage those with busy schedules to stop by and adore when they have time. Come be in the presence of the Eucharist!

Thomas James “Tom” Ladwig, 72, of Sioux City, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Holy Cross Parish – St. Michael Catholic Church. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a Vigil Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2026, at Holy Cross Parish – St. Michael Catholic Church in Sioux City, with Father Randy Schon serving as celebrant. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, and a Rosary will be prayed at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

The Holy Cross Mah Jongg Club invites parish women to learn the fun and engaging game of American Mah Jongg! Beginner lessons will be offered on Thursday, August 13, from 1:00–3:30 p.m. and Wednesday, August 19, from 6:30–9:00 p.m. Attend one or both sessions.
After your lesson, join us for Guided Play or Social Play on Tuesdays from 9:00–11:30 a.m. to practice your skills in a friendly, supportive setting. We follow National MahJongg League Rules; however, no betting or payouts are involved. All sessions are held in the Spiritual Center.

Prior to the baptism, parents must also register for and complete the Baptism Preparation Class which is held on the third Tuesday of every month at the Blessed Sacrament Parish Center at 7:00 p.m.
